You may guess, from the blog title, that I have not lost weight this time. You would not be wrong.
The day of my last weigh-in, I was so chuffed with my progress, and we were both so hacked off with the scaffolding adorning the house (see Denise's blog for further hacked-offedness) that we went out for lunch, at which we both agreed that we wouldn't have much for dinner because we had had a big lunch. And then I had fish and chips for dinner. And then the next day, having decided to eat less, we went over to the Canterbury Food and Drink Festival, and I are more. And the next day I baked a plum and pear pie which was 750kcal per slice. Of which I had 3 - but over the next 3 days, not all in one go.
Now, other than those first two days, I was calorie counting and on most if he following days I under-utilised my calorie allowance. So I thought I would be okay.
There you go, over-eating is the reason I didn't lose weight. Here come the excuses.
On Tuesday last week I stopped one of my blood pressure pills, on doctor'a advice. I'm retaining fluid because of this.
At my last weigh-in the scales told me, and you, the wrong weight. Rubbish scales.
An additional excuse. Insufficient levels of guilt due to insufficient sponsorship. I need that guilt, guys! Thankfully, the excellent Mrs Sarah Glew, she of the cardigan, sponsored me yesterday, ski have been refuelled with guilt.
And so, here it is, my current weight....
