One of my colleagues told me a dieting story yesterday and said I could use it in the blog. Unfortunately...completely forgotten it! Sorry!
Instead, another client complimented me on my weight loss today and asked how is done it. I gave the, now standard, "not eating cheese" line. And she said, "I love cheese. I could just eat slabs of it!"
I confessed that this had been my problem but that with calorie counting I could still eat whatever I wanted, just not as much. And I told her that I still have 30g of cheese sprinkled on my dinner (where appropriate)
"But what's 30g?" she said in an aggrieved way. "It's like a matchbox!"
Which is true.
"But if you grate it, it looks like more than that," I told her.
And this is one of the many methods of weight loss. Spread your food over a wider area and make it look like more.
Which is so nearly the genius of pizza. If only pizza didn't contain a gazillion calories.
