When I started to successfully lose weight, and I should say that I have not yet successfully lost weight or successfully kept weight off, lots of people asked me how I was doing it,
'Just not eating cheese,' I would glibly reply. 'Nothing more nothing less.'
Of course, I was counting calories as well, but mainly cheese was the answer. Cheesy cheesy cheese cheese.
Is it obvious that I still crave cheese?
Anyway, that was a question people asked me. Which leads nicely on to a question I was asked recently.
How often do you weigh yourself?
And as you know, the answer to that is every 10 days. You know this because I have an official weigh-in every 10 days. I blog about it. I know you know this.
Though, of course, there may be the occasional 'unofficial' weigh-in. Just occasionally. Once in a while. To see how things are going.
What, every day? That would be crazy. And pointless.
Okay so I have an unofficial weigh-in every day. Just after I get out of bed in the morning. Well, just after I get out of bed, and just after I've been to the toilet.
So the answer to how often do I weigh myself is, 'Every day.'
Just the once though.
Any more than that would be silly.
Well, yes, obviously sometimes I weigh myself last thing at night. And this is where I come to my great new dieting tip.
My weight between my last thing at night weigh-in and my just after I've got out of bed and gone to the toilet weigh-in can change, downwards, by 5lbs sometimes.
I'm pretty sure I don't sleep-exercise. And it probably isn't necessary. In fact maybe exercise isn't necessary?
That is what I'm saying.
The new diet tip is this.
It's blooming good for you.
