It was a, sort of, milestone that went uncelebrated and unremarked on but I passed the halfway point in my sponsored weight loss sometime in the last two weeks. Halfway point in terms of weight that is. In temporal terms the halfway point is 3 months away and today is the three month point.
I know, annoyingly, that I have got this far relatively easily and that it will get more difficult as I have to decrease my calorie intake to get continued weight loss. In fact, only yesterday MyFitnessPal reduced my daily calorie allowance - which caused me all sorts of pain and angst, until I realised that it hadn't changed yesterday but a few days before and I haven't even noticed. And Denise made us enchiladas for dinner last night and I had to stop eating with about a third of an enchil to go because I was full.
'What is this "full" of which you humans speak?' the aliens used to ask Captain Kirk, before tucking into a big bowl of ice cream. And then Kirk would teach them how to be more human.
According to my theory though it is more human to be a bit above the average weight. Eventually, even Kirk learned this lesson.
But, enough of this slightly random dragging in of science fiction into a weight loss blog, let us proceed to the order of the day.
I weighed myself yesterday and had list a lot. I didn't really expect this to be reflected in today's 'official' weigh-in and I'm kind of glad because too much weight loss makes the next weigh-in more difficult. So, I am happy to present you with this...
Another 5lbs. Feel free to sponsor me - use the links. I cannot do this without money for Shelter or the PDSA.
