Oh my goodness! Well, as you know, we had three viewings today. And the middle viewing, well, they only bloomin' well offered the full asking price there and then! They LOVED our house. Excited wasn't the word. Bonkers!
Anyway, they've only just put their place on the market so haven't got buyers yet, so it's not all totally crazy, but it was crazy enough to leave Andy and I spending a lot of today whittling down our extensive 'Possibles' list into something more manageable, because now we know what sort of budget we have, we need to get on with actually seeing some of these houses in the flesh, as it were. Or brick.
There are two houses on the list that I absolutely love and even thinking about them makes my tummy go a bit flippetty. However, I am realistic enough to understand that it is not wise to become too emotional about these things because there lies the tempting of Disappointment or Catastrophe into the equation and that would be a bad thing. So I am trying to remain calm and pragmatic and remember that until our buyers have got a buyer, we ain't going anywhere.
(Just stop it!)
And just to add a spot of spice to the mix we have another viewing arriving tomorrow morning.
We aren't taking the house off the market yet, and shan't until we are signing on the dotted line. Things happen at the last minute, don't they? Things that scupper plans. But we like our buyers a lot. A lovely family. Warm and cheerful. They feel 'right' for our house. It feels 'right' that this time we are actually on the move.
One day at a time though. One day at a time.
