I don't have much to say today. There were five snowflakes at 9.50 a.m which caused great excitement amongst my Year 9 class but not, alas, an announcement that school was closing and they could all go home.
All three of my rescued hyacinths have flowered and are now scenting the living room in a most delicious way...
...and Heather has left her old, boring job in local drainage to begin her new, exciting career as a trainee teacher.
My patchwork quilt is coming along nicely...
...and is proving a lovely way to relax at the end of the day.
Oh, and Andy has lost 5 stones and 9lbs. Just thought I would mention that in passing.
GOAL!!! At the end of last May he set himself the target of losing five and a half stones by the end of this May coming and he has DONE IT!!! In order to encourage more of his colleagues and friends to sponsor him he did say, a couple of months ago, that he would add another half a stone onto his target to make it a round six stones. So he has only got another 5lbs to go to reach THAT target, too!
He is a SUPER MAN!!! Words cannot express how proud I am of his determination and hard work. And it has been hard work. Andy loves his food and he has made massive changes to his diet which, in turn, have made a massive difference to his health. He is AMAZING!!!
And that is all I have to say, really. Five stones and nine pounds...wow!
