It took a fair while for them to sort themselves out for bed last night - Primrose went in first, because she always sleeps in the nest box, and Nellie bravely marched in behind her, taking advantage of being mostly browny black ergo looking a bit like Camilla in the evening gloaming. And Primrose, who is always forgetting where she put her glasses, was none the wiser. Camilla then spent 20 minutes trying to keep Nora and Nancy at bay. It was like chicken hokey cokey with all the in/ out/ in/ out shake it all about going on. Nora was desperately looking for a tree to roost in. She could see lots of trees, just couldn't reach any because of the netting over the top of the run.
And eventually, just as Andy and I were going to intervene, Nancy did a double bluff rugby pass by Camilla and made it into the pod. Camilla followed; there was a bit of inside scuffle 'n' thump, but no reappearances. Five minutes later, Nora sidled in. And all was quiet. Phew!
